Community Supported Agriculture,
as they write at Local
Harvest, "has become a
popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food
directly from a farmer... A farmer offers a certain
number of 'shares' to the public. Typically the share
consists of a box of vegetables, but other farm products
may be included. Interested consumers purchase a share
(aka a 'membership' or 'subscription') and in return
receive a box (bag, basket) of seasonal produce each
week throughout the farming season."

bags we've delivered in years past.
We are absolutely committed to organic growing
principles. Our food was completely free of synthetic
chemicals, and completely free of genetically modified
seeds. (See our section on Agri-Culture
for more on how we grew). We also were a gateway to the Olive Hill Community Growers, as
diverse and friendly a bunch of neighbors as you could
Just for good measure, every share had a fresh loaf of
bread – either traditional Mennonite whole wheat bread
from Mrs. Wise, or Alex's famous bagels, scones, or
artisan bread. All made with chemical-free flour.
